Description

Operational Details
Vinyl lining installers prepare the ground before the liner can be set into place. This is accomplished by ensuring there is a reasonable depression or slope to the ground so that a pond or swimming pool might be installed. Often, this type of installation is free-form and does not use concrete, brick or cement for the sides and bottom. It is common for the bottom to be gravel or dirt based, and the vinyl lining is spread over the depression or hole and secured by laying decorative rocks or timbers on top of the vinyl that is stretched also on top of the ground, away from the water’s edge.

The vinyl lining is spread using a bobcat or front end loader, which travels either over or around the length of the pond or pool and it is secured in place by manual labourers assisting the equipment operator.

Vinyl lined pools and ponds are most popular in country or backyard settings. They are also found on golf courses and park areas. Using vinyl liners allows the architect or builder to fit the liners to the contour of the land, giving it the appearance of being part of the natural habitat.
