The prevention department promotes injury prevention and safety education by helping employers, workers and unions develop health and safety management systems and return-to-work programs.
The employer services department registers employers by industry, completes payroll assessments, collects premiums, handles employer account inquiries and audits employer records to ensure payroll is reported correctly.
The prevention and employer services division keeps the following general classes, or types, of records:
- Industrial classification criteria.
- Employer’s Payroll Statement (EPS).
- Incident cost summaries.
- Notice of assessments.
- Statement of Account.
- Record of clearances issued.
- Personal information.
- Employer files.
