Operational Details
Briquettes are manufactured by using fine coal dust, compressing and heating it in a chamber to produce cubes of briquette squares, which can be used to heat a barbeque or where any other low burning applications are required. It operates on the same basis as compressed logs for fireplaces which are made out of newspaper that is compressed. The difference here is the heat and pressure forms a relatively hard product that is more efficient than by using compression only.
The candle making referred to her can be high volume processing whereby wax is melted and formed into candles on a relatively sophisticated basis, with little operator intervention. Colours are preselected and dyes are injected into the candle molds, ensuring the right colours is produced. Different lengths and thickness can also be produced by changing the die of the injection mold. Otherwise, candle making is a handcrafted item, made by hand, one at a time, using beeswax, tallow or candle wax. The process involves softening the wax, placing a central wick within, and wrapping the wax around the wick until the desired form and size has been accomplished.
