Rubber stamp stores will either sell pre-manufactured stamps and desk signage, or will custom build stamps for customers. If manufactured, the process begins with setting up, and operating machinery used for mixing, calendaring, extruding , molding and curing rubber materials into the desired shape.

Assembly includes laying out the stamp and using hand tools or power tools to cut , shape, splice, fit and cement rubber material to form a finished stamp. Letters or a caricature may be designed and cut out or reproduced from a mold.

Banners and crests may be sold as pre-manufactured. If required, a shop worker can work from a customer’s design or design one in-house. The material is cut out and a felt backing is attached by sewing it onto the crest material that can be made out of a variety of products. The crest face can be hand painted, sewn or lettering glued onto it to form the desired message or picture.

Customers range from individuals to schools, institutions, sporting clubs, community leagues and employers who have ball or hockey teams.
