T.V. and radio sales and repair shops sell manufacturer’s brands, along with associated equipment over the counter to the general public. An authorized dealer’s operation will often include a repair capability where the brands sold are repaired under warranty, if the problem is minor, or parts replaced and the original could be sent back to the manufacturer. Repairs ,may also be made on T.V.s and radios that were not purchased at the store where the repairs are undertaken.

Car stereo shops sell and also install. Often the installation is done at the place of sale. A small area may be set aside indoors where the stereo is installed under, or in the dash of a vehicle. Sales are also over the counter and the customers may install them on their own.

The sale of electronics may include stereo systems and video equipment that may also require installation, or set up at the customer’s residence or place of business. Commercial applications often require hook ups and installation of brackets to hold video cameras for security purposes etc.

Shipping and receiving, stocking shelves, selling over the counter and providing technical expertise to the customer are part of this industry. Service workers are trained in electronics and specialize in repairing T.V.s, radios, stereo systems, video equipment etc. In some cases, employers have mobile service units or delivery trucks to deliver their products or to repair equipment on site.
