Operational Details
Monument installation involves transporting of granite, marble, or stone products to the site to where it is to be erected. This is done by using a flatbed truck, equipped with a cherry picker, which uses a hydraulic arm to lift and drop heavy objects into place.
Installation basically involves positioning the statue, artwork or monument into place, onto a gravel or concrete base that has been prepared before hand. This activity may be incidentally undertaken by the business installing the monument or stone product. Concrete, if used, is poured in place, using prebuilt wooden forms. Reinforcing bar and screen is put in the base of the pad, and concrete is either ordered from a ready-mix business ,or mixed by a portable mixer on site.
The installation may include setting the monument into wet concrete, or onto steel threaded rods, and bolted into place.
