Operational Details
Cord or rope is usually made of nylon or polypropylene filament that is manufactured out of province. The filament or cord is wound on bobbins and goes through a braiding machine that winds the cord into various kinds and types of rope and braid.
The braiding machine is automatic with the operator placing the bobbin on the machine and operating it by turning the switch on. Employers also receive cotton twine in large bales, it is ground into smaller balls or cards for resale. The rope or cord produced is generally sold wholesale.
