Operational Details
Pool hall operations includes operating a facility that has pool snooker, billiard, eight ball tables and foose ball tables. Confectionary items such as cold beverages (pop), chips and chocolate bars are also sold. In more recent years some pool halls may also incidentally sell some fast food items, and have video games on site to attract more customers. Cue sticks may also be sold or rented to the customers. Employees work the till, perform some janitorial duties, repair tables, replace cue stick tips and repair broken shades etc.
Bowling alley operations includes renting out shoes and bowling balls, or selling custom balls to their customers. In yesteryear, bowling pins were set up by pin setters. Today, the pins are automatically set up, doing away with the need for workers to perform this task. Bowling alleys sell confectionary items and fast food, much the same as a pool hall.
Miniature golf operations includes renting out golf clubs and charging a fee to play the course. Employees are responsible for the collecting of the fees, maintaining and repairing the miniature structures, and the indoor-outdoor carpeting (installed in a trough like structure that makes up the golf course).
Indoor recreational facilities - normally will involve a group of people coming together to play leisure games such as; indoor virtual golf or solving a puzzles or riddles, as in an escape room. These indoor recreational facilities are a popular choice for corporate team building events, birthday parties etc... The workers hired are not entertainers, but facilitate the activity/game being played by the group. All games and activities excludes all forms of gambling.
