Commercial divers are skilled professionals who perform underwater activities related to construction in inspecting, searching salvaging, repair and photographing pertinent subjects beneath the water.

Divers inspect settlement in cooing ponds at industrial plant sites and refineries, they may operate an underwater video camera, which can be used to provide a visual inspection report for the customer.

A commercial diver might also be used in a salvage operation where a valuable item has fallen into the water and must be retrieved.
