Description

Operational Details
A steam cleaning business will use a stationary or a truck mounted pressure unit that consists of a tank and pressure pump that ejects steam or hot water onto a surface of an exterior building. It is used primarily to remove dirt, grime, pollutants, dust and other debris from concrete, granite, sandstone, and brick finishes on buildings.

Besides the steam cleaning unit, mops, buckets and brushes are also used, along with ladders, or in large areas a scaffold may be set up.

Government buildings, institutions and commercial buildings are cleaned using steam cleaning, or in some cases, if the surface of the exterior is rough or particles are embedded, sand blasting may also be done, which is classified in B12-01, in the same rate code as steam cleaning.
