Operational Details
Fish hatchery activities include the purchasing of fish eggs, the eggs are then hatched, raised under controlled conditions in holding tanks until they are of marketable size.
At the fingerling stage the fish are either transferred to ponds or sold to private or commercial fish farms.
Fish farms may allow some recreational fishing, but mostly they market their product to packing plants, food wholesalers, retailers, restaurants, or individual consumers.
