Average weekly wage means the average weekly wage of the industrial composite for Saskatchewan as determined by the board for a year from information published by Statistics Canada (Section 2).
Effective date: January 1, 2024
Application: All claims occurring on or after January 1, 1980 for workers receiving compensation for at least 24 consecutive months.

Purpose:
To set the minimum average weekly earnings for workers who receive benefits for at least 24 consecutive months.
Average weekly wage means the average weekly wage of the industrial composite for Saskatchewan as determined by the board for a year from information published by Statistics Canada (Section 2).
Effective January 1, 2024, the minimum average weekly earnings for any worker who is:
a. Injured on or after January 1, 1980, and
b. Is in receipt of benefits for a period of at least 24 consecutive months, will not be less than $776.57.
